Postdoc Opening (Immediate):

We are looking for one postdoctoral researcher to work on interface studies in Solid-state batteries.

Required Qualifications:

* PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field

* Experience in general battery laboratory equipment operation and maintenance

* Ability to write manuscripts in English and publish in peer-reviewed journals

PhD Opening (Spring 2025 or later):

We are looking for one fully funded PhD students to work in the following research projects:

 

(1) Processing and diagnostics of electrochemistry energy storage and conversion materials.

*Experience with solid state electrolytes, such as sulfide and oxide based electrolytes is preferred. 

* Experience with the operations of TEM, XPS, ToF-SIMS is preferred.

 

(2) Develop in situ characterization techniques. Integrated experience of mechanical design and materials science characterization toolsets operations is preferred.

MS/BS Opening (Immediate):

We are also looking for multiple hourly paid BS or MS students to work in the following research projects:

 

(1) Design materials science diagnostic toolsets.

* Background requirement: Mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering

*Experience in Solidworks, Ansys, or 3DS Max is required. 

 

(2) Characterization and analysis of battery interfaces.

* Background requirement: Materials science engineering, Chemical engineering, or Chemistry

*Experience in operating SEM, XRD, Raman, XPS, or TEM is required.
